The Good Kin is a grassroots clothing company based out of Washington, DC. Established in the Fall of 2011 by Alexander Gorman and Richard Owens, The Good Kin has made a name for itself with design work inspired by the stories and subcultures both founders have experienced in their lives. The aesthetic is a mixture of American and Japanese influence, and the products are all printed and finished by hand to ensure every piece has its own personality. Nothing prints the same way twice. The poem below, written by Alexander, best expresses the community so dear to The Good Kin.
"O traveler, O traveler
unfix yourself and hang your coat
well laugh and drink and feast and fight
in sanctuary from the snow
and so it goes,
rest your feet and never go;
this is the place where Good Kin grow."
